You've hit one of the darkest corners of Boost.Build. And the only full
documentation as to what all the "features" (that's what we call the

Ok, so I tried the new files, and it's not quite right:

It seems I'm getting options -mcpu=power -mpowerpc64 -maix64. The
proper settings for my system would be -mcpu=power3 and -maix64 (which
according to the gcc documentation implies -mpowerpc64 and -mpowerpc).
That's exactly what I needed. As I said in my first reply I only though
I *could* get the info needed. It's what combinations are possible that
the GCC docs don't really say.
I tried using <architecture>power3 but that seems to remove all the
options from the command line, so presumably that wasn't recognized.
"power3" is something that was added by GCC after I wrote this support
into boost.build. I just added it, and adjusted for the aix64 and power
combinations... Try the attached.. but now the BUILD value will be the
complete:
<architecture>power/<address-model>64/<instruction-set>power3/<object-model>aix
Not including the instruction-set should also work. But it will give you
the generic -mcpu=powerpc64 option instead of the -mcpu=power3. It's up
to you which one you want.
