What MTL stands for?

Does it have anything to do with matrix? Boost has uBLAS and multi_array covering this areas.

Matrix Template Library. Jeremy Siek, one of active boost developers, was one of its creators. I see here and there on the Internet some signs that next version of it is under development, but cannot find any real information about it. Alexei.
