After reading another post for build errors, I got the hint from it to
install python-dev and everything now builds without errors.
To install the missing python headers on Ubuntu, just type:
sudo apt-get install python-dev

I attached my build.log, however here are the type of build errors I am getting:
gcc.compile.c++ bin.v2/libs/program_options/build/gcc-4.7/release/threading-multi/winmain.o gcc.compile.c++ bin.v2/libs/program_options/build/gcc-4.7/release/threading-multi/split.o gcc.link.dll bin.v2/libs/program_options/build/gcc-4.7/release/threading-multi/libboost_program_options.so.1.53.0 common.copy stage/lib/libboost_program_options.so.1.53.0 ln-UNIX stage/lib/libboost_program_options.so common.mkdir bin.v2/libs/python common.mkdir bin.v2/libs/python/build common.mkdir bin.v2/libs/python/build/gcc-4.7 common.mkdir bin.v2/libs/python/build/gcc-4.7/release common.mkdir bin.v2/libs/python/build/gcc-4.7/release/threading-multi gcc.compile.c++ bin.v2/libs/python/build/gcc-4.7/release/threading-multi/numeric.o In file included from ./boost/python/detail/prefix.hpp:13:0, from ./boost/python/numeric.hpp:8, from libs/python/src/numeric.cpp:6: ./boost/python/detail/wrap_python.hpp:75:24: fatal error: patchlevel.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated.
Not sure how to fix? A quick search shows the missing file is located at:
/home/yadav/dev/cpp/boost_1_53_0/tools/build/v2/engine/patchlevel.h
I am building from /home/yadav/dev/cpp/boost_1_53_0
