hi, i fixed that problem, by using linux_gcc.mak instead of gcc.mak, though now i'm back to where i was with older Boost, where i'm getting seg faults instead of Python errors. (btw linux_gcc.mak is kind of off: the suggested path for the BOOST macro is incorrect, and where $(BOOST) is used I found actually $(ROOT) should be used)
