Provided that (a) they have a package installer, which is the case for Linux, but may not be for non-Linux *nix in general, and (b) they are content to use the Boost version that the packager has given them, which is not necessarily the latest Boost release. But yes. I agree that this class of users do not care where we put the headers in the source tree.
