You can expect updates, but you shouldn't expect them to be perfect :). I've already been doing some work during the review period, but didn't merge it to master yet.

I am the maintainer of beast for a while now and I don't know which bug you're referring to.

Richard's opinion is however highly valued as he is an early user of async.
